Veterans Day Message
Veterans Day is a time to honor and remember all those who have served in the United States armed forces—those men and women, from all walks of life, who stepped forward and swore an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” While we are fortunate to be able to enjoy the freedoms this country offers, we must never forget that they exist because of the service and sacrifice of the armed service members that protect them. For that, we owe them a great debt of gratitude.
At Enterprise Bank, we are proud to honor and support the veterans within our team and our communities. This month, we will be hosting a Veterans Appreciation Lunch during which our Enterprise family will come together for a meal as we listen to stories shared by our veterans and recognize their service. Our Veterans Resource Group (VRG) is also hosting a blanket drive leading up to the event, the proceeds of which will be distributed to local veterans by the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 47. In addition, Enterprise’s VRG will be making a $1000 donation to the DAV Chapter 47 in support of the incredible work they do.
Throughout our service area, our regions have also partnered with local veterans organizations for another year. Each region will be making a $500 donation to the organization they’ve partnered with and will be assisting in the collection of blankets for the blanket drive. The veterans organizations our regions have partnered with are:
Lowell Region:
SPC Matthew Pollini Memorial Fund, Inc
Chelmsford Region:
North Central/Nashoba Region:
Clear Path for Veterans of New England
Essex Region:
International Veterans Care Service
Salem Region:
Veterans Northeast Outreach Center
Nashua Region:
Derry Veterans Assistance Fund
Finally, volunteers from of our Enterprise team are working with the New Hampshire Coordinator for the Quilts of Valor Foundation, Donna Swanson, to make quilts for two veterans here at the Bank.
Please join us this Veterans Day—and every day—in thanking and honoring our U.S. military veterans.
