MPT Honored by SBA

Micro-Precision Technologies Inc. (MPT) of Salem, NH, a manufacturer of microcircuits for aerospace, military, satellite, and industrial applications, has been named the 2019 Jeffrey Butland Family Owned Business of the Year by the Small Business Administration New Hampshire District Office.

MPT was founded in 1987 by Dr. Etang and Chris Chen. Their daughter Sabina Chen joined the business in 2012 and served as the Director of Business Development until 2017 when she and her husband Blake Clark purchased the business from her parents upon their retirement.

Before buying MPT from her parents, Sabina Chen participated in the seven-month long SBA Emerging Leaders Program and was introduced to Bill Collins, Commercial Lending Officer with Enterprise Bank’s Pelham Branch. Collins nominated Chen for the award and said, “Sabina made the ownership transition appear seamless; during its first year of new ownership, the company is having one of its best years ever.”
